Drawing has always been a major part of my life. When I was a girl, people used to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I told them I wanted to be an artist. Well, I guess dreams come true! My dreams have come true in more ways then one and I have been very blessed. I’m grateful for my family who encouraged my love of drawing and helped me reach my goals.
I grew up in the beautiful state of Colorado and there developed a love and appreciation for the beauties of the earth. I love playing in the mountains and enjoying the great outdoors whenever I can. Few things bring me more happiness on this earth than being with family and being in nature, things which have inspired many of my drawings.
I attended Brigham Young University where I earned my degree in Fitness and Wellness Management with a minor in Visual Arts. It was there where I received a great deal of my artistic instruction. In 2008 I found my match and married my wonderful husband. He brings me more joy than I could ever have imagined. We currently reside outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, another beautiful state.
When I look back upon my own experiences, it’s often the little things that have brought me the most joy. The memories I have with my family are what mean the most to me. Moments that need no explanation. This is what I hope to capture in my drawings.
