Posted by PicasaThis portrait was commissioned to remember and honor a family member who had passed on. And it was my honor to participate in creating such a meaningful gift.

Posted by PicasaThis is a unique portrait because it captures a moment in time and allows the recipients to honor this pilot's military service.

I created this drawing to illustrate how a simple candid photo can make a beautiful and unique piece of art. I love it because it's very easy to feel the love this mother has for her daughter. It's a twist on the typical portrait.

This is one of my favorites. It's a very interactive photo, and as a drawing, it allows their relationship to come alive. Again, candid photos make the best drawings.
This is a drawing of my husband and I holding hands. I like taking something simple and common and making it into a piece of art. Now it seems like more than just a picture of holding hands.
This one I like a lot because it's not just a portrait. It captures the subject doing something he loves. It makes it unique to that individual and more interesting to look at from a viewer's perspective.

I love the way they are looking at each other in this drawing, their connection speaks for itself. An example of capturing a moment.
Remembering a loved one. I was asked to draw this picture as a gift to someone who lost their spouse. I feel so priviledged to be able to participate in these types of commissions.

I enjoyed drawing this piece because I know the people in the drawing and I think it really shows their admiration of each other perferctly.
This commissioned piece was inspired by the story of Helaman's 2000 strippling warriors. They were valiant young men who had been taught by their mothers.
